TCC-25 : CAT-25
Not-giving-up till the goal is reached has to be ingrained into the system.
MACRO VIEW
The paper was moderately complex. An uneven number of questions across all the sections would prepare you for every scenario that one may encounter on the D-day. The key has always been choosing speed over recklessness and this paper highlighted its significance.
MICRO VIEW
English
The section witnessed a preponderance of Reading Comprehension passages comprising trap questions alongside only seven questions from Verbal Ability, giving test takers an opportunity to capitalise.
Reading Comprehension
The first passage on ‘Good Governance’ was modest. The perplexity of the content in addition to zero direct questions made this set a difficult catch. At most two questions could have been answered comfortably.
The second passage on ‘English Language’ was yet another puzzling set but after one good reading the tone of the passage could have been found leading to the answers. Two questions were direct and could have been answered easily.
The third passage on ‘Orientalism’ was another bewildering stop. The content could have been challenging but at least two questions could have been answered after a detailed reading.
The passage on ‘Universe’ was simple to understand and all the questions could have been answered.
Verbal Ability
All the questions of Parajumble and Summary could have been answered comfortably. Text Completion could also have been successfully managed if the concepts were in place.
LR & DI
Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on points scored by six friends in five rounds of a Spanish game would have taken some time to get the individual scores. Since it was asked to carry forward the data, all the subsequent questions could have been answered fast once the values were ascertained.
Q 29 to Q 32 : The block on eight friends sitting around a circular table watching a cricket match was not a tough nut to crack but there would have been quite a few cases that would have arisen, hence making it time-consuming. This should have been answered at the end.
Q 33 to Q 36 : The block on a hockey tournament was taxing and should not have been attempted to save time and to not get stuck.
Q 37 to Q 40 : The block on eleven railway stations and four trains was simple. The best way would have been to construct a table and calculate all the values down so that all the questions could have been answered in a go. Calculation of the time for each train at each stop would have taken some time but this block was doable and should have been attempted.
Q 41 to Q 44 : The block on six friends making predictions on the ranks of eight teams was time-consuming but was solvable, and should have been answered at the end.

This section had quite a few easy questions. After a proper scan one would have found these questions. Accuracy in these questions would have helped in boosting the score. Absence of Arithmetic would have shocked you. (You must have spent quite some time searching in vain.) As always, this gave you an exposure to an extreme situation. We need to be prepared for all eventualities. Selection remains one of the keys. A great hold over concepts would have led one to answer all their selected questions.
With this we conclude this analysis.
Keep following the POAs by pushing yourself.
