RealCAT - 4

TCC-25 : CAT-25

We cannot leave any stone unturned in our quest towards glory.

MACRO VIEW

The test was moderately easy. The English section was dominated by Reading Comprehension. Verbal Ability presented enough scope to score. The LR & DI section was fairly complex. The Mathematics section, though not very easy, was manageable.

MICRO VIEW

English

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Humans and Technology’ required a detailed reading to understand the Central Idea. All the questions were simple and mostly direct. Hence, this passage should have been answered.

The second passage on ‘Bacteria and Multicellular Organisms’ was comprehensible. At least three out of the four questions could have been answered accurately after a meticulous reading.

The third passage on ‘Economics’ was simple and was comprehensible. All the questions could have been answered comfortably.

The fourth passage on ‘Ghosts’ was simple to understand. It had two Inference-based questions. Some questions could have been answered, if time permitted.

Verbal Ability

Both the Parajumble questions could have been attempted easily. Summary questions could be solved after some deliberation. Text Completion questions were doable, too.

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 29 : The block on six friends was challenging and time consuming. If at all, it should have been attempted at the end.

Q 30 to Q 34 : The DI block on pupils was moderately complex. Once the crux of question was understood, it could have been attempted flawlessly. It would have required some time but could have been attempted.

Q 35 to Q 38 : This was one of the most complex blocks in this section. It had a lot of information to work with. Given the amount of time and pondering needed to solve this block, it would be safe to say that it should be attempted at the end.

Q 39 to Q 42 : The block was moderately complex. It required good time investment, but was doable.

Q 43 to Q 46 : The DI block on distance travelled was a moderate block. Two of the four questions involved intricate calculations, the other two questions though not driven by calculation but required ratiocination. So, it should have been attempted with due caution.
