Keep moving, pausing is not an option.

MACRO VIEW

This paper was of moderate complexity. It mostly consisted easy and moderate questions. Most of the easy questions were restricted to the English section. The English section was comparatively easier than the other sections. The LR-DI section had speed blockers, hence one needs to choose the blocks wisely. Mathematics section consisted questions from plethora of topis.

MICRO VIEW

English

The section witnessed a preponderance of Reading Comprehension passages with a very few Verbal Ability questions.

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Otto Skorzeny’ was simple and lengthy. One could have answered all the four questions after one good reading.

The second passage on ‘Art Collection’ was short but challenging. Nine marks were for the taking where all the questions were direct and could have been answered without batting an eyelid.

The third passage on ‘Marijuana’ was cogent and of standard length. Most of the questions could have been answered effortlessly as the cues were prominent in the passage itself. At least four of the six questions could have been done.

The fourth passage on ‘parent-child relationship’ was short and perspicuous. It was the simplest block in the entire section and one should have begun the section with this passage.

Verbal Ability

The section comprised two questions from Parajumble, and three questions each from Summary and Text Completion. Text Completion questions were tricky and required some time to solve. Parajumble and Summary questions were easy and were must dos.

LR & DI

This section was moderately complex. An efficient use of selection parameters would have helped one sail through.

Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on furniture manufacturing was not too complex. It just required thorough understanding of the block.

Q 29 to Q 33 : The block on five bowlers was a complex one. It was time consuming and demanded unflinching attention. One should have been cautious.

Q 34 to Q 38 : The DI block on organisations were pretty much doable. With some patience and correct reading you would have been seating at plus 15.

Q 39 to Q 42 : This block was of moderate complexity. It required strong grasp on Algebra. If one is clear with the concepts then this block can be solved without difficulty.

Q 43 to Q 46 : This block was of moderate complexity. Every question was a different case which made the block tricky. Nonetheless, extensive calculations weren’t involved, hence one could have solved this block in less time.

The section had a combination of various topics where choosing to attempt Algebra, Arithmetic, Number System, over Geometry Family would have been a wise choice. Students adept in Geometry Family concepts would have sailed through comfortably too.

With this we reach the end of this analysis.
