TCC-25 : CAT-25
Ignore the pain. Focus on the improvements.
MACRO VIEW
The paper was moderately complex with all the sections containing tricky questions, where the only way to not get stuck at them was impeccable selection. LR&DI and Mathematics were more complex and English had a majority of doable questions. One should have not let the performance of any one section influence the performance of another and should have given their best regardless. Doing so would have been efficacious and would have given desired results.
MICRO VIEW
English
This section contained a number of Reading Comprehension questions combined with some Verbal Ability questions.
Reading Comprehension
A good hold on reading would have led one to sail through comfortably.
The first passage on ‘Complexity of Machine/Device designs’ was comprehensible and of moderate length. Even though it didn’t contain a lot of SDQs, all the questions could have been answered after one good reading.
The second passage on ‘powerful societies in the ancient world’ was mildly perplexing given the language employed but could have been comprehended if one would have gone through the passage sincerely. At least three out of the four questions could have been answered in a flash.
The third passage on ‘Effectiveness of prayers’ was a clear lollipop. All the questions could have been answered fast.
The fourth passage on ‘special properties of water’ was another simple one. At least three out of the four questions could have been answered comfortably.
Verbal Ability
One out of the three Parajumbles in addition to all the Summary questions could have been answered. Parajumble questions were comparatively trickier.
LR & DI
This section can be categorised as difficult and given the amount of non-MCQs it carried, extreme caution had to be practiced.
Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on a teacher wanting to select four students out of six was taxing as there would have been various cases regarding the missing values. The best approach would have been to keep it for the end, time permitting.
Q 29 to Q 32 : The block on six countries participating in the Commonwealth Games was of moderate complexity. Once the table with all the possible values would have been constructed, it would have become easier to answer the subsequent questions that carried additional information.
Q 33 to Q 36 : The block on four cricket teams from India playing a match with the teams from England was a little time-consuming but wasn’t a block to be left. One would have taken some time to get hold of the questions after which all of them could have been answered. This block should not have been ignored despite the complexity. Even if all the blocks are complex, one cannot risk leaving all of them.
Q 37 to Q 40 : The DI block on four boxes lying in the living room could have surprised the test takers in the first instant but after a good scanning, the graph could have been deciphered and the data labels could have been found out. The first three questions could have been then answered. The last question was tricky and would have confused the test taker. If one would have been confident about the process, it could have been solved too.
Q 41 to Q 44 : The block on a teacher coming up with an innovative way to make her students remember the prime numbers was the easiest block and should have been solved.
Mathematics

One should have carefully carried out the selection process and solved them with a 100% accuracy. One could have chosen Higher Algebra, Functions, and a few Number System questions over Geometry Family, if not comfortable in Geometry Family. A few of the Geometry Family questions could have been handled if the concept would have been in place.
With this we reach the end of this analysis.
Keep following the POA.
