ENGLISH
Reading Comprehension
The first passage on “Sham” was extensive and a little difficult to understand. There were Implied Idea question, Inference Based Question and Application Based Questions. Despite the moderate to difficult complexity, at least two questions could have been successfully answered after a macro reading. The Central Idea of the passage could also have been deduced.
The second passage on “Expert Political Judgement” was a lengthy passage that might have been skipped given its appearance but it was a simple one. Here, all the questions could have been answered after a thorough reading.
The third passage on “Technology” was the easiest of all the passages because of two reasons. Comprehensibility and presence of Specific Detail Questions. Inference-based question could also have been answered, if one has mastered the RC classes and has been religiously following the Mental Gymnasium dictum. This passage was a must do.
The fourth passage on “Rationalist and Scientific Investigation” was a comparatively complex passage. The passage was not easy to comprehend. However, taking Reading Tests particularly from the ‘Special’ and the ‘Reports’ category would have made it a cake walk.
The last passage on “Modern Identity Politics” was moderately complex. One solid reading would have given the answers to all the questions.
Verbal Ability
Verbal Ability contained questions from Critical Reasoning, FIJ, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Text Completion. It contained one question each from Critical Reasoning, FIJ, Grammar, Text Completion and two questions from Vocabulary. The questions from FIJ and Vocabulary could be easily answered. Questions from rest of the topics were of moderate-difficult complexity. Mastering the English Concept Classes was a key to solving all the questions correctly.
LR & DI
Here is a brief representation of the blocks.
Q 25 to Q 27 : The block on subjects and marks lost by different students was a moderately complex block. One adept in LOC would have been able to attempt this block with ease.
Q 28 to Q 31 : The block on different varieties of flowers was moderately complex. It was calculation intensive and comprised ‘Otherwise’ questions. This block was doable and could have been solved in five to seven minutes.
Q 32 to Q 36 : The block on fruits and student distribution was an alluring block with five questions but it comprised cumbersome data along with questions that required extensive self-brainstorming. Hence, this block required proper deliberation. It should have been attempted at the end.
Q 37 to Q 40 : The block on arrangement of friends and fitness centres was yet another complex block. There were various restrictions that made it tricky, and missing out on any one of the cases would have led to negative marking. Hence, being extremely cautious is prescribed.
Q 41 to Q 44 : This block, if approached using the format taught in class, could have been solved in a flash. This was the easiest block in the section.

The test had questions from various topics but Number System played a dominating role. There were questions that were lengthy requiring more patience and time, like questions 54 and 57. Absence of questions from Arithmetic was a shocker, but it made one prepare for uncertainties.
Acing this section required strong fundamentals, and Crystal Clear Concepts would have ensured the same.
This brings us to the end of analysis.
