Laboratory Test - 14 : Analysis

TCC-25 : CAT-25
Laboratory Test - 14  :  Ecstasy (??)

Ever oozing ‘Ecstasy’ from the fact that the ‘Grandest’ test series is continually challenging, presenting tweaks and providing colossal opportunities to learn, to develop and to grow.

And, because by now, thanks to the POAs and relentless motivation, the performance should be showing a continual upward trajectory.

MACRO VIEW

This test was relatively more complex. We saw equal number of moderate and difficult questions. Application of the ‘CAT Strategy Sessions’ would have proved to be a game changer. Usage of ‘0s’, ‘1s’, ‘2s’ and ‘Xs’ would have made a world of difference in the sectional scores and hence the overall score.

As customary, the English section was dominated by Reading Comprehension. Verbal Ability was doable. There were equal number of questions from LR and DI. Questions from LR were much more complex than questions from DI. The Mathematics section though moderate, because of the intentional skewness might have increased the complexity. Absence of ‘Arithmetic’ questions would have come across as a surprise to many.

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Discipline’ was lengthy but comprehensible. All the four questions were direct and simple. It was a must-do passage.

The second passage on ‘Abstract and Representational Art’ was an extensive one. The language mode was simple and the answers to the questions were directly present preventing the need to scroll back to the passage again and again. Short-term memory as a result of the Mental Gymnasium regimen would have further aided the same

The third passage on ‘A young child’s perception of nature’ was complex. It comprised a Specific Detail Question and two Inference-based questions. It should have been attempted after deliberation.

The fourth passage on ‘Eating Disorders’ was terse but difficult. There were more Inference-type questions which further added to the complexity. Mental Gymnasium along with Reading Tests would have helped to get past this passage successfully.
By the way eating disorders should, by now, be a thing of the past.

Verbal Ability

There were a few questions from Grammar, Critical Reasoning, Fact, Inference, Judgement, Parajumble, Text Completion, and Summary. In total there were 8 questions. Grammar and Summary questions were manageable. Text Completion too was manageable. Two out of the three Parajumble questions were doable. At least five out of eight questions could have been answered correctly.

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on viewership was a dolly, and it required simple arithmetical operations to get through. The graphs were simple to deduce and so were the questions.

Q 29 to Q 32 : This block on perfume brands was the easiest block and was a must-do.

Q 33 to Q 36 : These questions on Data Sufficiency were moderately complex. Three out of the four questions could have been comfortably managed.

Q 37 to Q 40 : This Games-based Reasoning block on Volleyball was taxing because of the need to create different cases. It would have consumed a lot of time and hence should have been attempted with caution.

Q 41 to Q 44 : This block on seven jungles and their dominant animals was quite challenging. This should have been approached with utmost caution.

The section was reigned by Basic Algebra and Geometry Family questions. Good command over these two topics was essential to keep the boat afloat. Grasp over Higher Algebra as well was welcome.

This terminates the analysis.

Ecstatically keep adhering to the POAs and to a T.

Our support and best wishes, always.
