Laboratory Test - 13 : Analysis

TCC-25 : CAT-25
Laboratory Test - 13  :  Bliss

Pain and sacrifices should be ‘Blissful’ as it leads us towards a glorious future.

MACRO VIEW

This test was fairly complex. It comprised questions of varying difficulty. The English section was dominated by Reading Comprehension, as usual. The Verbal Ability questions were comparatively more complex than the questions from Reading and Comprehension. The LR & DI section was easy. Crystal Clear Concepts helped to make it easier. The Mathematics section comprised questions from various topics but a few topics, as in most cases, dominated the section.

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Nucleus’ was simple as three out of the four questions were Specific Detail Questions and one of them was an Inference Type question. All questions could have been comfortably managed after one good reading of the passage.

The second passage on ‘Identity’ was another must-do passage despite its length. All the four questions were direct, the answers to which could have been deduced quickly. Reading skill and short-term memory would have ensured that one does not have to refer to the passage continuously.

The third passage on ‘Prophecy’ contained a few paragraphs that one would have found a little bemusing but all the questions were straight forward, and could have been answered within a few minutes.

The fourth passage on ‘Kinship’ was quite articulate. Three questions were Specific Detail Questions and one was an Inference Type question. Mental Gymnasium would have ensured a flawless attempt of the passage.

Verbal Ability

It contained questions from Parajumble, Text Completion, and Summary. The Summary questions could have been comfortably managed if one has mastered the respective Concept classes. Parajumbles were more demanding but could have been managed with some effort. Text Completion questions were intellectually stimulating, and like always the concepts taught in class would come to rescue.

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 29 : The DI block on 8 students was a child's play. A good reading skill and few concepts from the DI classes would have helped to sail through easily.

Q 30 to Q 34 : The LR block on Old Age Home was an uncomplicated one. The calculations were also basic. It looked horrifying, but it is said that looks are deceiving. The entire block could have been answered in about four minutes.

Q 35 to Q 38 : This was another simple DI block. This block involved minimal calculation. This block should have been attempted for a certain plus 12.

Q 39 to Q 42 : This DI block was another piece of cake. Crystal Clear Concepts juxtaposed with peak focus and concentration were imperative to solve this block correctly and quickly.

Q 43 to Q 46 : This LR block was a cake-walk. Though it was a bit time consuming, yet it should have been attempted.

Majority of the questions were from Number System and Algebra. Strong grip over these topics would have helped to tackle this section smoothly.

Moreover, if ‘Planning (Scanning & Selection)’ and ‘Strategy’ were in place, it would have yielded better results. With time implementation of the same should become flawless and ensure efficiency.

With this we conclude the analysis for this test.

Adhere to POAs to a T and blissfully.

Our support and best wishes, always.
