MACRO VIEW

The English section was dominated by Reading Comprehension. The questions in this section ranged between easy to moderate. The Mathematics section was moderately complex and was dominated by questions from Arithmetic and Basic Algebra. The LR & DI section was comparatively difficult.

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on the financing system of China was an easy one. There were no twist and turns. The passage is constructed in simple language. It had Inference type, Application based and Specific Detail questions. All were answerable.

The second passage on “Anarchism” was moderately complex. A proper reading helped in understanding the passage. The complexity level of the questions ranged between easy-moderate. The passage comprised inference type, central idea, implied idea and specific detail questions.

The third passage on “Parts of Speech and construction of sentences” was moderately complex. It had some twists and turns. A micro reading helped in getting a good grasp on the passage. The passage comprised two application-based questions, one specific detail question, one central idea question and one inference-based question. The level of complexity of the questions ranged between easy-moderate.

The fourth passage on ‘Northern-elephant-seal population’ was moderately complex. The last two paragraphs of the passage need careful reading. The passage comprised one central idea question, one implied idea question and two inference based questions. All the questions could be solved after some deliberation.

Verbal Ability

It contained questions from Summary and Parajumble. Summary questions were of moderate complexity. Parajumble took more effort than the rest of the questions.

LR & DI

Q25 to Q30 : The block on “examination” was moderately complex. The first three questions could be done swiftly. The latter three needed more investment of time and concentration.

Q31 to Q36 : The block on ‘Four Institutes’ was simple. Questions 31 and 32 were easy and could be done at a blistering pace. Questions 33 and 34 needed more calculations than questions 31 and 32. The concepts needed to solve questions 33 and 34 were simple, and with the help of LOC these two could be done fast.

Q37 to Q40 : This block was complex. It was taxing. It is comparatively difficult and required undiluted focus to emerge unscathed.

Q41 to Q44 :  This block was somewhat complex. With Crystal Clear Concepts of set theory this block could have been handled better.

Arithmetic and Algebra dominated this section.

Arithmetic questions ranged from Linear Circular and Relative Motions, Ratio, Proportions, Variations to Average-Percentages.  Multiple questions from Arithmetic were lollipops. These could be easily solved.  Remaining could be solved if the concepts were Crystal Clear.

Questions from Logarithm were simple. There were questions from Surd and Indices and Equations and Inequations which were of moderate complexity.

That brings us to the end of this analysis.
