TCC-25 : CAT-25

‘Peerless’ is one who is determined not to give up.

MACRO VIEW

The test was moderately easy and if one was diligent enough, one would have reaped a bountiful harvest.

The English section comprised 24 questions. Questions from Reading Comprehension were moderately complex. The Verbal Ability segment was pretty easy and doable. The LR & DI section comprised two blocks where the level of complexity was difficult. Rest of the blocks were easy-moderately complex. DI blocks were more complex than the LR blocks. The Mathematics section demanded stranglehold over Arithmetic and Algebra.

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Digital Preservation of archaeological sites by Google 3D’ was not readily comprehensible. Intricate reading was imperative to answer all questions correctly.

The second passage on ‘Decentralization by the Government’ was lucid. If the crux of the passage could have been determined, all the risks associated with respect to answering the questions would have been mitigated.

The third passage on ‘British Colonial Policy’ seemed impenetrable and hence answering all the questions with complete accuracy would seem to be a challenge. However, excellent reading skill driven by ‘Mental Gymnasium’ (what else ?!) would have made it effortless, too.

Verbal Ability

All the summary questions were doable and four out of the six Parajumble questions could have been effortlessly managed. The remaining Parajumble questions required considerable effort and reading skill.

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on ten players participating in a rifle shooting competition was another complex block demanding a lot of time and energy. It should have been attempted after deliberation.

Q 29 to Q 32 : The block on the cost and revenue percentages of a store with three departments was another difficult one. It should have been kept for the end, and answered if sufficient time was left.

Q 33 to Q 36 : The block on six languages spoken by five people was another simple DI block that could have been answered in six to eight minutes. Though multiple cases would have arisen, yet it would not have proved to be a deterrent in this case. All in all, this block was doable.

Q 37 to Q 40 : The block on students of a college selecting none, one, or two proposals could have taken some amount of time given the need to apply Set Theory concepts but it was a doable block and should have been answered.

Q 41 to Q 44 : The block on three doctors attending to patients in three different rooms was the simplest LR block in the section and should have been answered.

Arithmetic and Algebra dominated this section. Strong grip over these topics would have helped to score a ‘Wow’ percentile in this section.

That brings us to the end of this analysis.

Keep following the POAs by default and without restriction.
