‘Peerless’ is one who is aware that every ounce of effort matters.

 

MACRO VIEW

The test was a very interesting one. It was like playing ‘Hide and Seek’. There were plenty of easy questions but they had to be discovered during the ‘Selection’ process. So, being alert and vigilant was the be all and end all of this test.

The English section was dominated by an easy Reading Comprehension and a slightly complex Verbal Ability. The LR & DI section was a balanced section. It comprised multiple blocks that were readily doable. The Mathematics section covered various topics but was mostly dominated by Arithmetic. There were questions from all levels of complexity.

 

MICRO VIEW

English

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Creativity’ was a simple passage with six questions out of which four were Specific Detail Questions, one was a Central Idea question, and the other was an Assumption-based question. This passage should have been attempted.

The second passage on ‘Electric Cars’ was another lucid passage. Most of the questions were Specific Detail Questions and could have been answered effortlessly after one micro reading.

The third passage on ‘Vikings’ was terse but complex passage. However, two out of three questions could have been answered after one sincere reading of the passage.

 

Verbal Ability

The Summary questions were doable. Four out of the seven Parajumble questions could have been managed with ease, the remaining required deliberation.

 

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on Funky Pizzeria was a very easy block that should have been attempted possibly at the beginning.

Q 29 to Q 32 : This block relating to assets was moderately complex. It could have been attempted later.

Q 33 to Q 36 : The block on different types of repairs required by a few dorms was another easy block that could have been answered in five to six minutes.

Q 37 to Q 40 : The block on a queen placed on an 8 by 8 chessboard was a piece of cake. It could have been solved easily within 4 minutes.

Q 41 to Q 44 : The block on eight friends travelling to Delhi by a Cheap Air flight was challenging and laborious. It required deliberation and caution.

 

Mathematics

A thorough scrutiny of the section is as follows.

This section was dominated by Arithmetic and Algebra. A strong hold over both the topics would have ensured a smooth journey even through the bumpy road.

Solving the aforementioned with full accuracy would have sailed the boat comfortably.
