MACRO VIEW
The test was moderately complex. The English section was dominated by a moderate Reading Comprehension segment. Mental Gymnasium along with Reading Tests would have helped to perform decently in this section. The LR & DI section was a good mix of both LR and Data Interpretation, swaying between easy and moderately complex questions. The Mathematics section was relatively simple and was dominated by Arithmetic and (Basic) Algebra.
MICRO VIEW
English
Reading Comprehension
The first passage on ‘Octopuses’ was easy to comprehend followed by a Specific-detail question and three Inference-based questions. It was a must-do.
The second passage was another simple one. A detailed micro reading would have easily rolled out all the answers.
The third passage on ‘Musicking’ was moderately complex. It was a mix of Inferential and Application based questions but it was slightly challenging due to the close options.
The fourth passage on ‘Philosophy of Social Sciences’ was a moderately complex passage. Good reading skills was the key to attempt this passage successfully.
Verbal Ability
Text Completion and Summary questions were relatively easy. Both the Text Completion questions were doable. Two question from Parajumble could have been easily managed if one has practiced well. Text completion questions were moderately complex but could have been managed if the concepts were crystal clear.
LR & DI
Q 25 to Q 29 : The block on a widget supplier supplying widgets to 4 locations was tricky due to the existence of various cases. It could have been attempted at the end.
Q 30 to Q 34 : The DI block on four companies and their data over three years was simple and should have been attempted. It was one of the easiest blocks. 15 marks could have been secured in less than 6 minutes.
Q 35 to Q 39 : This block was of moderate complexity. It required proper understanding of basic data to construct the framework. It could have been solved within 10 minutes.
Q 40 to Q 44 : The block on domestic and foreign products with FDA and EU approval was complex. One required good grasp over Basic Algebra and Set Theory to solve this block correctly within 10 minutes.

This section was dominated by Basic Algebra, closely followed by Arithmetic. Mastering classes was a necessity to reach the desired goal as far as this section is concerned.
