MACRO VIEW

The test was moderately complex. The English section was dominated by a moderate Reading Comprehension segment. Verbal Ability segment was tricky and required deliberation. The LR & DI section was comparatively lengthy. Proper selection and time management was crucial. The Mathematics section was moderate and was dominated by Arithmetic and Algebra.

 

MICRO VIEW

English

Reading Comprehension

The first passage on ‘Nano-robots’ was a lollipop. All four questions could have been answered easily.

The second passage on ‘Entropy and Timekeeping’ was moderately complex. One could have attempted two out of the four questions with ease. Other questions required deliberation and caution.

The third passage on ‘The Language Instinct’ was a taxing passage. It should have been attempted at the end, only if the concepts were Crystal Clear.

The fourth passage on ‘The Birth of the Unconscious Mind’ was comparatively easy. Three out of the four questions could have been answered correctly with ease.

Verbal Ability

The Verbal Ability section comprising Summary and Parajumble was demanding. Two questions from Parajumble and one question from Summary could have been answered in a flash. The remaining questions from each topic mandated pondering.

 

LR & DI

Q 25 to Q 28 : The block on project schedule was an easy block. At least three out of four questions could have been answered effortlessly.

Q 29 to Q 32 : The block on testing of mixtures was a lollipop. A strong foundation in Arithmetic would have ensured that one got all the answers correct that too at a blistering pace.

Q 33 to Q 38 : The block on review of question was an onerous block. It should have been approached with extreme caution. One should not have started with this block.

Q 39 to Q 44 : The block on Javelin Throw event was a complex block. It required a good investment of time. Time permitting one could have done this block at the end.

This section was dominated by Arithmetic, followed by (Basic) Algebra. It was a moderately complex section. Strong grasp of Arithmetic and (Basic) Algebra would have helped in sailing through this section.
